Tarzan deals with the villainous Schroeder, who is illegally collecting animals for zoos, only to be menaced by Schroeder's hunter brother Sikes, out for revenge, who teams up with greedy trader Lapin in a hunt for human game,Tarzan himself. Three episodes of a never-aired TV series were re-edited, with studio action intercut with location and wildlife footage.

Kohn and Alice Clayton set sail for Africa, but mutineers marooned them. After his parents die, the newborn Tarzan is taken by a great ape, Kala. Later, the boy finds his father's knife and uses it to become King of the Apes.
